A naming ceremony is a beautiful, non-religious way to welcome someone into the world, a family, or a community. Traditionally held for babies, these ceremonies celebrate the arrival of new life and the giving of their name, which symbolises love, identity, and a sense of belonging.

Whether you’re marking the arrival of a child, welcoming an adopted family member, or affirming your identity through a new name, your ceremony is about honouring your story: past, present, and future.

Every ceremony I create is personal, heartfelt, and inclusive. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we design a celebration that feels real and true to you and your family.

I will meet with you over a coffee, at your house, or in the park!! to discuss your wishes for the ceremony and to get to know you, your family, and especially your little one.

My ceremonies typically feature heartfelt personal stories and readings, along with meaningful symbolic rituals like candle lighting, sand ceremonies, or planting a tree. There's always room for family, friends, or your chosen loved ones to share messages of love and support, helping to create special memories- whether it's a wish tree or a cosy memory blanket.

I genuinely take the time to listen and learn about your values, traditions, and the significance behind your chosen name. This way, your ceremony becomes a beautiful reflection of your true self and what matters most to you.

Your naming ceremony can take place anywhere; in a village hall, a lovely hotel, on a sandy beach, or right in your own back garden. There are absolutely no limits or restrictions to a celebrant-led naming ceremony.

The cost begins at £350 and covers a discovery call along with a meeting where we chat about your family and your hopes for the ceremony. I then craft a personalised ceremony, which typically lasts around 40 minutes. On the big day, I look forward to welcoming your guests, conducting the ceremony, and helping to kick off your celebration with joy.
